Dallas Arboretum

Yesterday, we headed to the Dallas Arboretum with a few friends to enjoy all the pumpkins. This was our first time visiting the arboretum when they had their pumpkins out. I can not wait to go back in a couple of weeks with Jason and the kids.

My sweet girl

Mason, John, and Gavin

They look so tough, love our boys!

On our way out John and Gavin spotted this squirrel in the tree

It is really hard to get a picture of these two together, this is not the best, but Ill take what I can get!

I love that John was holding onto his sisters hand, always watching after her.

Every time I look at him he looks older

She is growing up just as fast
I know I am really going to miss this age once they are older.

John loved climbing all over the pumpkins

These last two photos my friend Laura took
All the boys running and smiling, they all had a blast at the arboretum

Baby Ian

My friend across the street had her first baby, a sweet little boy named Ian. She asked me if I would take some newborn photos of him and I said yes! I love any and all opportunities to learn more about photography.
Two of my sweet friends Jennifer and Laura who are professional photographers have been so helpful with tips when it comes to taking photos. One thing they both agreed on is that newborns can be a little tricky so give yourself plenty of time. Since my friend just lives across the street I set up my office as a mini studio and had her come over. Jennifer let me borrow a ton of her newborn props.
This was my first time taking pictures of a newborn and I think I did pretty good. Here are a few of my favorite ones.

John's First Soccer Game

Saturday morning John had his first soccer game. Overnight the temperature had fallen giving us a cold and windy 60 degree game at 8am. Despite the cooler weather the kids all had a fun time on the field.

Before the game the referee had both teams say the YMCA game pledge

John is number 9

Only four players are able to play from each team at a time so some need to sit out and wait. One parent had these perfect sized chairs that the kids used if they were waiting for their turn.

Fun in the sun and water!

Over the weekend the temperature dipped down into the 80's and it was wonderful. Sadly, once Monday rolled around we were back up into the 90's. Do not get me wrong the 90's have been wonderful, much better then the above 100's we have been having, but I am ready for Fall.

One thing that is awesome about warm days is all the fun outside you can have with water!

Pouring water on themselves was fun...

Pouring water on each other is way better!
