Johns First Haircut!
This morning was a big day for John, he had his first hair cut. We went to a kid friendly haircutting place and overall it went well. It was a little scary for John and he did cry, but by the end he was all smiles again.
The place we went was really neat they have chairs that are cars for the little kids to sit in and TV's to watch their favorite TV show or movie. For the older kids they have video games they can play while getting their hair cut. Most important the hair stylist know how to work with children who are scared and move around. At the end John was sporting his new hair style, got a balloon, lollipop, and tattoo!
Before leaving the house.
Sitting in his blue car, checking out all the buttons before Debbie cut his hair.

All done with his tattoo and balloon.

Second Molars
Last night while I was playing with John on the floor I noticed two new teeth starting to pop through. John already has 16 teeth and all he has left are his four second molars. The two molars that are coming in now are his upper molars, I did not see his lower molars coming in yet. So far he has not shown any sings of being in pain, hopefully these come in just as easy as his other 16 did.
Update on John and his fever, he has been fever free for a couple of days now and is acting 100% back to himself!!!

John being sick
After I picked John up from Mothers Day Out on Thursday he was not acting himself. Sure enough John had a fever and Friday morning we headed to the pediatrician to get John checked out. He has drainage which has caused a red sore throat and fever. We were given a 10 day supply of antibiotics and told to let him rest.
Here is a picture of John resting. He had a nice little set up in the living room where he could watch cartoons while mommy and daddy brought him food and liquids. Johns fever has gone down, but you can tell that his body needs to catch up on rest. We have been keeping him away from Taylor as much as you can and so far she is symptom free.

New Pergola & Tree's
Before Taylor arrived we had a lot going on at our house. We had a pergola built and new patio poured, stamped, and sealed. The patio portion was finally finished a couple of days ago with the color and sealing agent applied to the concrete. We love the new space and have really enjoyed spending time outside even more.
The first weekend Taylor was home, Jason and John went back out to the tree farm to pick out some trees to provide us with some privacy in our back yard. In total 16 trees were delivered the next day and Jason planted all of them. He did a really great job, although I think if he would have known how much work it would have been to plant 16 trees he may have just paid the tree farm to do it.
We have six Natchez white crape myrtles, eight Arizona cypress, one Taylor juniper, and one Red Dynamite crape myrtle. The tree farm gave us the Taylor Juniper and Red dynamite crape myrtle as gifts for the birth of Taylor Ann. The trees look great and add so much to the back yard. It is going to be fun watching them grow over the next few years.
The Taylor Juniper is the tree on the right and the Red dynamite is the tree on the left (already dormant).
Arizona cypress is in the middle and the Natchez white crape myrtles on either side of the cypress.
Five Arizona cypress in the back.
