Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was so much fun, but busy. Here is a recap of our three day weekend.

Friday
Friday Jason had the day off so we hung out at the house, played outside, and just had fun together as a family. Friday was also Poindexter's 10th birthday. He got new yummy bones and John gave him a ton of treats.

John and Taylor wiggle to some music.

Taylor swinging in her new patio swing, she loves it.

John wanted to push his sister.

Taylor laughed as john grabbed at her feet with each push.

John to Jason: "Daddy John up high"

Playing baseball, John can hit the ball pretty far.

Saturday

Saturday was our Easter Sunday with family and started off with the kids waking up to their Easter baskets, then we headed to John's swim lessons. After swim lessons we went out to my aunts ranch and had a really fun time. John loves to run around out there and say hi to all the horses, goats, and other animals. After an early Easter dinner we headed to one of Johns friends 2nd birthday party. By the time we got home we were all worn out, it was a great day.

Taylor and Johns Easter baskets on Saturday morning. Taylor could really have cared less about her basket this year, but John LOVED his. John got a ton of really fun stuff, but no candy, including silly straws, books, markers, Hot Wheels, bubbles, books, a Bevo doll, stickers and other things. I found these cute baskets and had their names embroidered on them.

Jason with Taylor and John walking down to see a pony.

John was saying hi to the pony.

Then we went to the barn to meet some other horses, but these were much bigger.

John just stared at the horses that were in the barn, I think the massive size of them had him a little scared.

Then John spotted some normal sized horse that were turned out for the day. So we walked down to say hi to them as well.

Taylor with her daddy!

My mom being silly in the kitchen.

Aunt Marilyn held Taylor for a really long time, I think it has set a new record!

Taylor with cousin Ethan. Ethan is about four months younger then Taylor. Taylor was very interested in looking at Ethan and touching him.

Time to dye Easter eggs!

John's dyed eggs. Some of the eggs came from the farm and were spotted, they were the neatest to color.

One of many egg hunts that day.

Setting out more eggs for another egg hunt.

Playing and waiting until they can go find more eggs.

Then it was off to a Birthday party!

Friends Mason and Gavin. The pregnant mommy belly belongs to my friend Amy, due July with baby Lucy!

This just cracked me up, Carter LOVED the blue icing on his cupcake.

John managed to get the blue icing all over his face.

Sunday

On Easter Sunday morning the kids woke up to another Easter basket, this time from Nana.

Our first magnolia flower bloom on Easter morning!

In honor of Earth day over the weekend I wanted to recycle the two plastic Easter buckets the kids got from Nana. So John and Jason drilled holes in the bottom then John put in some rocks for the bottom layer.

Next came the potting soil.

Then the flowers

Finished recycled Easter plastic buckets into flower buckets!
