35 Week Appointment!

Today we are 35 weeks along with 35 days to go until EDD. I just got back from the Dr and here is the update. Baby John has moved his way head down into the birth canal (Dr. was able to feel his head when she did the internal). I am 1 finger tip dilated, 50% effaced, and measuring one week ahead. Everything is still looking good. Johns heart beat is still strong, my blood pressure is great, and over all things are where they should be.

I asked the Dr if this progress would mean that I would have John sooner then later and she said that at this point it is still to early to tell. I will now be going in once a week to check the progress.

We are getting closer to John Howard's arrival, how exciting!!!

On a funny note when I called Jason to let him know the progress this was his response, "What? She could feel his head? Is he not in a sack or something? Should you not go on bed rest or something?"

Dallas Baby Shower!

Today was my baby shower in Dallas, hosted by my mom. Although it was cold outside (35) everyone had a wonderful time inside. The food was yummy, the decorations were beautiful, and family and friends topped the day off to make it special. I can honestly say we are ready for John Howard to arrive now. Family and friends have been so very generous, thank you so much for everything!!! Here are a few photos of the day.

Dear John Howard

It is getting closer until the day you come and your daddy and I can hold you. We are so excited to meet you, hold you, and kiss all over you. Your daddy has been very busy getting everything ready for your arrival. He has put together all of your toys and is keeping the house super clean.

Poindexter can not wait to meet you either and he has his spot all ready in your room so he can watch after you while you sleep. Sleeping is his favorite thing to do as well so you and him will be best buds.

As much as I am going to miss having you in my tummy I can not wait to see your smiling face. As each week goes by you are getting bigger and bigger. Right now you have your foot up by my left rib and you are pushing away.

Everyone is waiting for your arrival and you are going to be surrounded by love from family and friends.

Love,

Mommy and Daddy

33 Week Appointment!

I just got back from my 33 week appointment and everything is going great. John's heart beat is strong and he is still in a head down position. I am measuring at 35 weeks so still two weeks ahead. Dr. said that it should start to even out when I am around 36 weeks along. My next appointment will be at 35 weeks and then I will be going in once a week until John is here.

Baby Shower

Over the weekend I had my first baby shower in Conroe. It was so much fun, and John was given a ton of great gifts. It was great to see everyone and to see how excited they are for Jason and I. Here are a few photos of the day.

We Have Dinning Room Chairs!!!

As many of you know when I moved down to Houston I had a table, but no chairs. Jason since day one of knowing him has never owned a table or a chair. Needless to say we spent two years in Houston with a table and no chairs. Now we are in Dallas and we were facing the same situation. We have always kept our eyes out for chairs and we were finding that even on sale most chairs ran some were between $80 to $100.00 each. We just could not bring our selves to spend that much per chair. Well over the weekend we went to a local resale store and found chairs for $12.00 each. We bought them, went to Home Depot and bought paint, and went to a fabric store and bought fabric for the seats.
