Here we go again, number 4!!!

Last night we discovered tooth number four coming in. John now has the bottom front four teeth. I expect his top teeth will be coming in within the next few weeks. Still no pictures of all four yet. Every time I try and get a picture he sticks his tongue out so I can not see them. 

John's Six Month Update!

On Wednesday August 26th John turned six months old! Each day brings new smiles and more personality. The last six months have been the best months of my life. There is no love like the love two parents have for their child. I love watching John grow, laugh, learn, and play, each day is a new adventure. We are always getting complements on how he is such a good baby. Everyone loves his eyes and thinks he looks like the Gerber baby. 

On Friday we went to the pediatrician for John's six month check up. His pediatrician says he is looking great. She is pleased at how well he has done on his stage one foods and we can now move to stage two. John will now get baby food breakfast, lunch, and dinner. John has tried all stage one foods. His favorite vegetable was sweet potato. His favorite fruit was applesauce. 

John's Six Month Stats:

Weight: 18 lbs and 4 oz (70 percentile)

Height: 28 inches (93 percentile)

Head circumference: 17.5 (60 percentile)

Some new milestones/achievements:

- Sitting on his own. Each day he is able to sit longer and longer.

- Reaches for objects with one hand

- Loves talking to his toys

- Imitates our behaviors 

- Loves to be tickled 

- Reaches to be picked up

- Can hold body weight while standing 

- Investigating everything with his mouth

- Pulling knees under him, supporting body weight with arms, and rocks.

- Drinking from his sippy cup

- Doing well on solids

House Update

Over the weekend we went to see the progress on the house and it is looking really good. They have finished the brick on the outside and all the drywall is up on the inside. We met the builder out there and he says that they will finish the walls with texture and paint this week. He also thinks they will have the kitchen cabinets in and will start the tile next week. Closing date is still September 29th.

Jeremy and Jennifer's Baby Shower

I am a little behind on blog updates so let me start with last weekend and go from there. Last weekend we traveled to Houston to celebrate the soon arrival of Jeremy and Jennifer's twins. Jennifer is looking great and the twins are kicking away. Here are some photos of the fun event.

After the guest left Jeremy, Jennifer, Jamie, Her husband and kids plus us hung out at the house. We had a really great time playing with the kids and talking. It was a great relaxing way to end the day.

Number Three Is On The Way!

Last week we noticed John cutting another tooth. It is coming in slowly but surely! No pictures yet, but when I get it I will post it.

House Update

The brick is going up and looking great! The builder has moved our closing date to September 29th but things are still moving along. We are in the process of packing our things, donating what we do not need, and putting the rest in the trash.

I put John in his crib while I did some things in his room and he grabbed his teddy bear and started talking to him. When I looked into his crib a few minutes later he had talked himself to sleep. So cute!

House Update

We are set to close on our home on September 18th. Hopefully the builder will stay on target and we will meet the close date. Here are some photos of the house. They have finished the wiring inside and have put in the insulation. You can see in the photos they have the dry wall in the house and ready to go up.
