Finally A Walking Video To Share!

As i mentioned in an early post, John has been taking steps and gets better each day. It has been hard getting a picture let alone a video of him because as soon as I bring the camera out he goes straight to his knees and high tails it my way.

Well, last night Jason took the camera with him into the kitchen while he made dinner and I hung out with John in the living room. As you can see from the video below we finally got a video of him walking. It was very exciting and I am super thrilled to finally get it on camera.

He does really well walking with no shoes on and can turn, bend down to pick objects up and then stand back up, but he does not know how to walk as well with shoes on. He can do it, he is just not as good yet.

Tooth Number 12

Last night I noticed that tooth number 12 had broken through. This tooth is on the lower right side toward the back.

Weekend Photos

It was a beautiful weekend so we took advantage and played outside with our Tonka.

It did not take long for him to find the dirt and grass.

John is always giving the dog love and I finally got a picture of it.

Jason reading to John.

John LOVES peas and corn.

We also took a trip to Ft. Worth for their annual Stock show and rodeo. Needless to say we left a little disappointed. We were expecting the stock show and rodeo to be similar to the one held in Houston each year, which we love to go to. However, that was not the case. On the bright side we did see a ton of farm animals.

Cow's go Mooooo!

Saturday night we went to a Hockey game with about 10 other people. We all had a really great time and everyone loved John.

Clapping

While I was baking some brownies John played with Poindexter.

Fast asleep after a fun weekend.

Tooth Number 11

Yesterday I spotted tooth number 11. It is one of his bottom back left teeth. Given how his teeth come in I expect to see tooth number 12 in the next day or two.

Taking More Steps!

John has been taking one and sometimes two steps on his own for the past few weeks, but he always does so with Jason or I close by. Yesterday John decided to do some exploring on his own. John was crawling on the tile floor when he decided to just stand up in the middle of the dinning room with no help from other objects and take five steps. It was a very exciting moment. It seems that all he wants to do now is walk around the house or at least try to. He is getting better each day.

Good Bye Baby Food!

John is back to eating 25 plus oz of formula a day plus three meals and snacks. For the past week he has not wanted to touch anything from a jar, its table food for him from here on out.

New Years Weekend

Over new years break we headed to Austin to spend a few days. Jeremy and Jennifer came as well along with the twins. It was great to have everyone together. This was the first time all four babies were able to get together and I think they all had a great time. I know that all the grandparents loved it. It is going to be fun watching all the babies grow up together and play together. Its hard to believe that all four babies will be turning a year old in 2010.

Madelyn and John

Madelyn is already taking a ton of steps and I am pretty sure she will be running next week. John on the other had, not so much. He still enjoys crawling from point A to point B. Madelyn tried really hard to get John to walk with her and it was super cute to watch, but John was not having it.

Uncle Jim with Madelyn and John

I have a feeling that when these two are 16 and driving I might look back at this photo and wonder where all the time went. They are just growing up way to fast.

Uncle Nick and aunt Kari bought John his first UT baseball hat. I think John enjoyed looking like his uncle Nick.

In this photo Sam is holding John, Kari has Madelyn, Grandpa is holding Jake and I have Claire.

It was a really great weekend filled with a ton of fun times and moments to remember always. We also had professional photos taken of the entire family on Saturday by Tyler who was our photographer at our wedding two years ago. I can not wait to see how they turned out and will post them as soon as we get them.
