Weekend Fun!

On Saturday John had a visit from his Uncle Nick from Austin. John had a blast playing with him, showing him all his toys and playing with the new UT footballs he was given from his Uncle Nick. After a few tossing games with the footballs and a couple of book readings with Uncle Nick, we headed out to get some new shoes. It seems that John needs a new pair every month.

We had John's foot measured for correct size and needless to say we were a little shocked when she said we needed a size 8. Not only did he need a size 8 but they needed to be extra wide size 8, which are not as easy to find. One pair of the tennis shoes he tried on looked like they belonged to Shaquille O'Neal, they looked so big on him.

Here is a picture of John wearing his new size 8XW tennis shoes, he loves them! When he has them on his feet look so big, and I am sure in another month we will need an even bigger size.

Nothing says summer better than Ice Cream!

Jason and John decided to build an even bigger fort, this time it was a castle!
Poindexter wanted in.
The guys hanging out inside their castle!
Poindexter decided he would play the castle dragon and broke down the castle walls.

Hot Wheels Fun!

John lined up all of his Hot Wheels. If you think these look old, your right. These were my Hot Wheels when I was younger and now they are John's.

31 Week Appointment

Today I am 31 weeks and 2 days along in the pregnancy. I went in for my routine check up. Taylor's heart is beating great. We are pretty sure she is in a head down position and we hope she stays put. I am measuring ahead still at 35 weeks, this can change as we get closer to the due date. We will be getting a growth ultrasound done when I am 36 weeks to check on Taylor's size.

Aside from the heat, this pregnancy is going by great and much faster. So far I have only gained 20 pounds this pregnancy which is way less when compared to the 60 pounds I gained with John. We have pretty much finished decorating Taylor's room. We have everything we need for her, but I do need to pick up a lamp in the next few weeks.

My next appointment is set for September 1st.

Fort Building

One of the things I loved to do when I was younger was build forts in my house. So today John and I built a fort and had a ton of fun.

Weekend Fun!

Last weekend Janma was in Dallas for a few days. She came over and played with John who loved showing her all his toys and showed her how to use them. John was so excited to see her and hated seeing her go. Janma has been coming to Dallas at least one weekend out of each month and we all have really enjoyed her visits.

One morning I went to get John out of bed and found that he was very happy with himself because he had lined his pacifiers up along his crib rail.

John loves to hug and kiss on Poindexter, and as you can see in the photo Poindexter enjoys it just as much.

Uncle Jim came to Dallas this weekend and stayed the night. John loved his time with uncle Jim and just like Janma showed him all his toys.

John enjoying his gift from Jim.

Everyone loves story time!

29 Weeks Along!

Yesterday marked the 29th week of pregnancy. Today, I went in for a routine visit and to do my glucose test. The drink you have to drink before they draw your blood was more unpleasant this time around than it was with John. However, it is done and we should have the results back this week.

Taylor is measuring ahead already at 31 weeks which is following the track of John. It will be interesting to see how big she does end up getting. So far I have not gained nearly the weight I did with John. We will be doing a growth ultrasound at around the 37th weeks to see the approximate weight of Taylor. We also listened to her heart beat which is sounding nice and strong.

From here on out my visit will be every two weeks instead of every four weeks. My next visit will be on August 19th.
