The Mess

My friend Jennifer and a few others got together for a fun photo shoot with the kids. Jennifer was nice enough to turn her kitchen inside out to make this fun mess!

The Boys

These four boys have been friends since before they could walk or talk. It has been fun watching them grow up together, explore together, and laugh together.

A Crazy Week

This past week has been crazy! Here is a small recap of the week. On Monday we started the process of having the entire inside of the house painted, every wall, all the ceilings, all the trim, and every door. We needed it done and they did a wonderful job, but I will never again live in a house while every inch is being painted again, I will just leave town next time.

The kids and I had to leave the house everyday at 8am and could not come back home until 5pm. Now, normally this really is not a big deal. I am out of the house with the kids each morning by around 8:30am anyways, doing different fun activities, meeting with friends, and even running errands. Where it becomes a problem is having to take the kids some place else to nap and in general just knowing that I could not come home between 8 and 5, it was annoying.

On Wednesday the painters started the trim and door work. They used an oil based paint which smells horrible and takes a while to dry, coming back home with that was not happening so we stayed in a hotel. This was our first experience in a hotel with the kids and it was really fun. We were on the 11th floor so the kids could see for miles. We could even see the Frisco minor league's baseball field, although they were not playing a game that night. We stayed in a room that had a separated bedroom which was wonderful for putting the kids to sleep first and then being able to stay up and watch TV and Talk. However, to be honest I was so worn out with all the running around that I fell asleep with the kids.

Finally, on Thursday the house was done! The painters did a wonderful job and did a great job cleaning up which I really appreciated. We have slowing been putting things back in their places. Some things have stayed while a lot has been donated.

Now for something much more relaxing, Bath Time!

Each night the kids pick out some cars to take to the bath with them so they can wash them.

Plastic ski jets can make interesting sounds, who knew !?!

Bath water taste good

After bath time its time to brush teeth

The kids get to go first then its mommy and daddy's turn to check their work.

And just in case you are wondering....
Toothbrushes do NOT fit up your nose, but...

your finger will, ha ha!

Houston Trip

Last weekend we went to Houston to visit with friends and family. We arrived at Janma's bright and early on Friday morning giving the kids a ton of time to have fun in the pool. The kids loved swimming in Janma's pool. It was a nice way to get away from the heat.

Taylor loved jumping into the pool

Friday night I put together a surprise 30th birthday dinner for my best friend, Lorissa. I invited some of our closes girlfriends for a fun and relaxing dinner.

Here is a photo of Lorissa (well her belly really and the ultrasound of baby #3), she will be having baby number three in just a couple of weeks!
This babies sex is a surprise, I can not wait to find out if she had a boy or girl, I vote girl.

Saturday morning we were up and eating breakfast at 7am at a diner with Janma. On our way back to the house we stopped by Conroe High School. Jason wanted to show John where he played football. The kids loved running around on the astroturf. It was fun seeing John running around on the same field where Jason played.

Saturday late morning, Jeremy, Jennifer, and the twins came over to play and swim.

The girls became big fans of Jason when he jumped into the pool with them. They loved it! Jason must have jumped in 30 or more times with them. He finally had to beg the girls to let him take a break.

Jeremy and John had a blast jumping in together as well.
Jeremy and Jason just kept jumping in one after the other, over and over.

Jake enjoyed watching while he had a snack

After the girls wore Jason out jumping into the pool, they decided they would get out of the pool and have Jason catch them as they jumped back in.

The kids found a fun new game hitting Jeremy with the pool noodles.

Taylor and Jason joined in on the fun as well.

Finally, Saturday evening we headed to Heidi's 4th birthday party before traveling back North to McKinney.

Heidi with her cupcake cake that Lorissa made, yummy!

Taylor wanted to sit at the cupcake table and wait until it was time to eat them.

The kids cooled down at this fun splash pad

Needless to say it was a busy weekend, but a very fun one!
