Balloons, Family, and a Swing Set, its been a fun weekend!

I have posted before that we often see hot air balloons from our back yard. Well on Friday John spotted and counted four.

On Saturday we spent the day with Grandpa (Frank), Granny (Tammy), Nick, Kari, and Madelyn. John had a Blast and Taylor just went with the flow.

Although Taylor still got upset when others held her she did much better. Kari and Tammy were able to hold her the longest and by far have set a record for time.

John and Madelyn found a rollie pollie. Madelyn wanted to know its name and be nice. John wanted to kill it, which he did. Poor sweet Madelyn tried to save the rollie pollie, but John used his bat and well when you have a bat vs. a rollie pollie the bat is going to win every time.

Who needs way cool toys when Uncle Nick is around? All you need is a empty water battle.

Madelyn opening her very late birthday gift from us, Taylor wanted to help.

On Sunday Jason and his friend David went to pick up the play set and when they came back I handed Taylor to David to see how long she would last. Well, wouldn't you know she just laughed and smiled the entire time. I think (hope) she is coming around and maybe she is over not letting anyone hold her.

So what do you do when its 50 outside and raining in Texas in the month of May? Well, you cant build your way cool new swing set so you open up and set up your new water table inside from Grandpa and Granny.
John loved it even though we did not put water in it. John's friend Mason got one of these for his birthday on Saturday and John (and all the toddlers at the party) played with it. This is going to be the perfect back yard toy when it starts getting hot outside.
