John and Taylor Highlights

John and Taylor surprise us everyday with something new and cute. Pictures call only give you a snap shot of what goes on in their daily life. It is the things they say, do, and how they act that you miss when you do not get the joy to watch them grow, learn, and explore like Jason and I and those who see them often do.

Things John is saying...
-"Morning Sister"
-[Closes his eyes and puts his hands together] "Amen"
-"Daddy go to work, daddy come home"
-"Sister sad" [He always says this when she is crying]
-He knows everyone by name and repeats it often when he is around them, "Mommy", "Daddy", "Nana", "Janma", "Mamaw", "Nik", "Sister", "Emma" etc...
-"That" [He will say this when he does not know the word to a object and so we will tell him and he repeats us]
-"Bible"
-"God make Sun, moon, star"
-"God make rain"
-"Mouse Please" [When he wants to watch Tom and Jerry]
-"Please", "Thank you"
-"Were Home" [As soon as I turn onto our street he starts saying we are home]
-"I Ready"
-"Happy Birthday"
-"I love you"
-"Milk Please"
-"Same" [When he finds two objects that are the same shape, color, or size he will put them together and say same. He will put a yellow block with a yellow car and say, "Same yellow".]
-"1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10" [Sometimes they are in order and sometimes we might get the number three repeated four times]
-"A, B, C....etc..." [He will get a few together on his own, but is always good at repeating/singing along with us]
-He loves singing along and dancing to songs and when he knows the words he says them loud and clear.
-"Member" [How he says remember]
 -Colors
And the list just goes on and on and on, he is adding to it every day. It is awesome to watch him learn so much. He will repeat anything you ask him to and he is always wanting to know what things are around him that he has never seen before or that he does not have a word for yet. Once he gets the word he repeats it a few times before moving onto the next object that catches his eye.

Taylor...
-She is almost 6 months old. I can not believe that half a year has come and gone. Before we know it she will be walking and talking just like John. We have so many fun years ahead of us!
-As you can see from the recent photos she is up on her hands and knees. She has been doing this for the past few weeks. Every time I put her on her back she rolls over onto her tummy and gets up on her hands and knees. She is not crawling yet, but she can get almost any where she wants to.
-She is also sitting for long periods without any help and getting better each day.
-Taylor is the strongest baby I have ever met and she is always on the go. She is not a mellow laid back baby like John was. She wants to be where the action is and she wants to be in the action. The good thing about that is she wears herself out and sleeps through the night. I feared we might end up having a baby that did not sleep through the night until nine months like John, but Taylor has been sleeping through the night since she came home, its been awesome!
-Taylor has tooth number five working its way out right now. She is having a harder time with cutting teeth then John did and I hate to see her in pain. Hopefully it will all be over soon.
-We started Taylor on solids when she turned five months old and she has worked herself up to having breakfast and dinner. She is doing great with her food, but she makes it known when she does not like certain foods. John ate anything you put in front of him and still does today. It is going to be interesting seeing what kind of eater Taylor will end up being.

Jason and I talk often about how blessed we feel to have the two kids we do. John and Taylor make each day fun and exciting for us and we look forward to all the fun times coming up.
