For Johns birthday Jason and I decided to get him a sandbox and we finally found one at a local store so we could avoid the high shipping cost. Online the store said they only had two in stock, so Wednesday morning the kids and I headed to the store to pick one up. When we arrived we found a huge box which I knew as soon as I looked at it that it was not going to fit in the car with both of the kids. So I went ahead and payed for the sandbox and told them that my husband would be by later that night to pick it up.
Fast forward to pickup, Jason arrived home and once we got the kids to bed he headed back out to go pick up the sandbox. We wanted to have it filled with sand and ready to go for his birthday party that Saturday. Jason was pretty busy doing some things for work when he got back home with the sandbox so he set the box in the living room and was going to set it up once he was done. I headed off to bed and later found out that at around 1am Jason finally got around to opening the box. This is what he found.....
Ridiculous size box for a sandbox.
Reason for the ridiculous large size box.
Yes, you are counting that right, four sandboxes.
The next morning John and I found all four sandboxes when we woke up.
So what do you do when you have four sandboxes in your living room? You play in all of them and pick out the best top and the best bottom to keep.
I called the store and the manager was surprised and said that they obviously need to start checking in the boxes. He thanked us for our honesty and will be sending a truck over this week to pick up the other three sandboxes.
