On Sunday morning I woke up to Jason laughing on the couch with both kids as he watched the Griswold Christmas Vacation. After the movie Jason wanted to take the kids out to see Christmas decorations at the local mall. I tried to tell him he would want to turn around as soon as he pulled into the parking lot, but he insisted we go, I blame the sudden excitement on the movie.
The mall adventure turned out to go better than expected. We arrived before the mall stores even opened so there were not too many shoppers. As we walked from one end of the mall to the other we spotted Santa's workshop set up. John became very excited and wanted to sit on Santa's lap. We were not planning on getting Santa photos that day but since we were there so early we were the first in line. John did really well until Santa came out. The video and Santa photo pretty much sum up how it went.
